Happy 9

Jason and I celebrated 9 years of marriage yesterday, I can't believe it! We had a great day celebrating and remembering all that we have experienced together over the past 9 years. I am blessed beyond words to share my life with an incredible man. I am proud of the man the Lord has grown him to be and how he continues to grow as an amazing husband, father, and friend. I love that we still laugh with each other and enjoy spending time together; he is my best friend! Thank you honey for 9 wonderful years, I can't wait to see what 9 more brings-I love you so much!

More Snow Fun

We got more snow yesterday afternoon! By The evening the ground was covered again. When Jason got home from work we took the kids outside to play in it. Greyson loved it and would have stayed forever, Davis wasn't too crazy about the wet and cold weather. We enjoyed a nice fire when we came inside, they both thought that was pretty neat. It was so fun to wake-up 2 mornings in a row w/ snow on the ground. We passed snowman after snowman in yards this morning when I drove Greyson to school, I didn't think I was in the right town. It will probably be another 10 years before it happends again, but it was sure fun while it lasted :)

Almost a White Christmas

That's right, it snowed last night! Only us Texans would get excited about a very thin layer of snow on the ground :)

I've Been Tagged...

My friend Tammy tagged me with the following...

List six things that make you happy. Pass the award along to six more bloggers. Do not give the typical answers and go for the less obvious, as you all know that family, friends, God, etc would be on the list :)

1. Date Night with my hubby: This is something we have tried to do every week from the day we got married. Of course life is crazy so it may not happen every week, but we still try. I could have had the most stressful day and spending that time alone with Jason turns my day back to where it should be. We have a great time talking, enjoying a peaceful dinner, coffee or a movie. It is these times that I am reminded of how incredibly blessed I am to spend life with my best friend!
2. Christmas: I absolutely love this time of year. I love the decorations, doing fun things with my family, seeing friends and family that I don't get to see often, Christmas lights, buying gifts for those I love, but most importantly celebrating the birth of Jesus-the true REASON FOR THE SEASON!!
3. Watching My Kids Play Together: They are only getting older and their personalities develop more each day. It is so fun to watch their relationship blossom as siblings, work through things together, love on each other and be content with being in each others company.
4. A Good Cup of Coffee: Especially this time of year w/ Peppermint Mocha's, Pumpkin Lattes and such!
5. Going on Vacation: I love exploring and experiencing new things, seeing different cultures even if it is a different part of the nation, trying new food, etc.
6. Entertaining: Whether it is having guests for a weekend, a baby shower, birthday party, Christmas party or just a special dinner with friends, I love it all. I love the planning that goes into the event before hand, preparing the menu, decorations, you name it...it is a true passion of mine!

Now, who will my lucky contestants be to share their 6 things that make them happy...
1. Charissa
2. Shannon H.
3. Allison S.
4. Gen Y.
5. Maryann
6. Jocelyn

Gingerbread Train

We have been enjoying all the fun of Christmas this past week. Marge (one of our Aggies) came over on Thursday and helped Greyson decorate a gingerbread train. G got pretty into it and loved eating the candy while he decorated.

"Jesus Was At The Park With Me"

This afternoon as I was getting Greyson ready for his nap, we were reading the Christmas strory and talking about baby Jesus being born. When we were done our conversation went a little like this...
Me: "Greyson did you have a good time at the park today?"
G: "Yes, I did! Jesus was at the park too!"
Me:"Really, what was he doing there."
G: "He brought the animals."
Me: "He did, which animals did he bring?"
G: "The cows and pigs."
Me: " Really, well what were they doing there w/ Jesus."
G: "Singing!!"
Me: "What were they singing?"
G: "Elmo music."
Me: "Did you sing with them?"
G: "Well, yes (and he answered as if it was a stupid question to ask :) )
The conversation kept going, but this is where I'll end it. Ah, the imagination of a 3 year-old. I love it!!

Thanksgiving

We had a great time in Tulsa for Thanksgiving. Despite the long drive with 2 kiddos it was worth the time with family and friends. On Thanksgiving we headed to Edmond to spend the day with Jason's extended family. It was fun to have a houseful of people and delicious food. Not only did we have the traditional Thanksgiving fixins' but we also had Lebanese food (J comes from a huge Lebanese family)! Friday was Greyson's bday so we celebrated with Sito (Jason's mom), Jamie (J's cousin) and Briana (Jamie's daughter). Sito treated Greyson to Incredible Pizza where the kids enjoyed playing games and eating pizza. Saturday we got together w/ some old friends at the park. We enjoyed catching up while the kiddos played. Greyson wasn't the only one who got gifts while we were there; Sito had the cutest tutu waiting for Davis. Let's just say that I think we have a girly girl on our hands-she loves it!!
