Greyson's 3rd Birthday Party

Sunday we had Greyson's 3rd birthday party. His birthday is not until the 28th, but we wanted to celebrate with friends before the craziness of the holidays. When we asked him what kind of party he wanted he said an "Aggie Football" party, so that's what we did. Clay and Maryann were nice enough to loan us their bouncy house, we had a football pinata, enjoyed some cupcakes and played in the backyard. Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate with us, Greyson had a great time!!

A Little Art Project

I really should know better than to leave my son unattended while he colors with markers, clearly I don't. This is what I found when I returned to the room. Thank goodness for washable markers!

Dewberry Farms

We met our friends Clay & Maryann Hicks and their girls Loren and Camryn today at Dewberry Farms. It was a beautiful fall day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and all the fun activities. We went on a hayride, played on the "hay mountain", saw a pig race and lots of farm animals, walked thru the sunflower patch, and enjoyed being with our friends. If you have never been to Dewberry Farms we highly suggest it.

Fire Station Visit

Our playgroup visited the Fire Station this morning. Our best friend Jonathan is a Fireman and was kind enough to give us a tour, show us all the equipment and most importantly the fire truck. Greyson absolutely loved it and was very intrigued w/ what Jon was doing at all times. Thanks again Jon & EB for coordinating for us we had a great time!!

Rainy Week

It has been a rainy week here. For you all you sweet mom friends of mine you know what that translates to; stir craziness for all!! Thankfully, as I type the sun is trying to pop out from behind the clouds. Monday a.m. the kids and I went to hang out w/ Sara and the boys since we couldn't get outside. Here is a sweet pic of Greyson, Davis, and Sam watching the rain from their back door. It's the little things in life, right?!

While Mommy's Away...

...Daddy will play!

I went shopping yesterday afternoon w/ my dad, and Jason ran some errands w/ the kids. Looks like they didn't miss me while they were at Academy. The pics a little blurry, but you get the idea :)

Years of Traditions

Today we had our annual "Aggie Family Tailgate & Football Game." Our Aggie family started many years ago w/ my dad and 3 other college friends when they were at A&M. When I was about 3 they reconnected and got A&M season football tickets together and have had them ever since. This is the group we tailgate w/ before every home game. It has been fun for all the kids to grow up together and now some of us even have kids of our own. Greyson and Daivs got plenty of time w/ Uncle Grant (my brother) & Aunt Lauren and loved all the attention. After the tailgate party we headed to the last home game which ended in an ugly loss against OU; so ugly I won't even post the score. Grant & Lauren sat w/ Jason and I today and we had so much fun together. Here are some pics of our fun day...

The Ladybug Lives On

Davis has taken quite a liking to her ladybug costume from Halloween. Everyday she goes into her room, finds it and brings it to me to help put it on. It's pretty funny to watch her playing around the house in it. As you can see this face is becoming a normal face for her when we ask her to "smile"-such a ham like her daddy!

I'm Having a Hard Day

I know, most of my posts are on the positive side, but everyone is allowed to have a bad day, right? You're probably asking yourself "how can she be having a bad day, she just returned from Jamaica?" I think that is my problem, I just returned from no stress, no kids (which I love dearly), no worries at all to full on reality of life :) I've lost count of how many times I've had to spank Greyson today which I don't have to do often, Davis threw a screaming and I mean screaming fit this morning on the way home from running errands -I thought I would lose my mind, she has mastered the word "NO"and I'm wondering how early I can put the kids to bed tonight :) On the positive side, I do love my life and all the chaos it brings and regardless of the hard days I have. I've been told that it's o.k. and normal to have a hard/bad day, so I thought I'd just share mine w/ you. I hope you on the other hand are having a wonderful day, and I really do mean it! :)

Our Time In Paradise

Jason and I returned from the most wonderful vacation late, late Thursday night. We went back to Jamaica where we went 9 years ago for our honeymoon. This time we went to a different part of the island; Whitehouse which is in the Westmoreland parish of Jamaica. We stayed at a Sandals resort which we highly recommend if you have the opportunity. Thank you to all of our parents who took turns taking care of our precious kiddos-we cannot tell you how much we appreciate you! Here is a little highlight from our week...
Saturday: We arrived after a long day of travel and a "hairy" ride from the airport. It typically rains every day there, but usually for only about an hour. The day we arrived, it had already been raining for hours and the streets were covered in water. Needless to say it was scary, but we made it safely. We got settled in and enjoyed a delicious dinner followed by delicious dessert.

Sunday: We spent the day checking out the resort and enjoying the pool. It was a nice relaxing first full day in paradise. We left our worries and stress behind and enjoyed the company of just the 2 of us.

Monday: More exploring (the tree pic is of baby coconuts) and time at the pool, a true Jamaican dinner w/ Jerk Chicken and Pork and Pina Coladas in coconuts. A beach party w/ fire throwers was an exciting end to a great day.

Tuesday: We took an excursion to the Appleton Rum Estate, spent more time in the pool, watched a beautiful sunset on the beach, and enjoyed a delicious steak and lobster dinner. The picture of the mountains is what we drove thru to get to Appleton; beautiful to say the least!

Wednesday: This was a bittersweet day for us. It was our last day, so we wanted to make the most of it. We spent the day on the beach exploring sea life, kayaking in the ocean, and relaxing. We enjoyed our last dinner which was delicious talking about our highlights from the trip and dreaming about when we will return.
