A day of water fun

Yesterday was a fun day in the water! Our playgroup met at the splashpad in the morning and then we went swimming with the Stricklands yesterday afternoon. Davis loved the splashpad this go round. This was our first day to go swimming, a little chilly but still lots of fun and giggles to follow!

Last Day of School

Yesterday was the last day of Kingdom Kids for the kiddos. I can't believe another year has gone by and that my sweet ones are only getting older. It has been so fun to watch them grow this year through school. While I am very sad that I won't have a day to myself each week during the summer, I am so excited about all the fun things we'll do together! Here are pictures of the kids with each of their teachers. They both loved all their teachers and I did too. I feel blessed to have the MDO program at our church that we do. How amazing it is to hear your 3 year old come home and tell you the Bible story he learned at school that day. I am thankful for others that plant different seeds than we do at home!

 

What she really does while she's napping

Here is what I found when I went to get Davis from her nap this afternoon. Thankfully the curtain rod didn't hurt her in any way. I opened the door and she said "uh oh mommy" :) at least she knew. Thankfully daddy was close to our house and came to the rescue to fix it!!
 

Happy Mother's Day

We headed to Houston Sunday morning to spend Mother's Day with my mom and grandmother who is 87 years old. We had a great day of just relaxing and visiting. My mom and Jerry have a great backyard w/ lots of squirrels and birds, so the kids enjoyed feeding them and being outside. I hope all of the wonderful mothers that I know were celebrated and remembered what a true joy it is to be a mom!

Splashpad

Summer has arrived and it is officially warm enough to enjoy fun water activities. This morning our playgroup met at one of the splashpads and the kids had a great time. It took Davis a while to warm up to the spraying water but she loved it once she got in. Greyson as usual jumped right in and had a blast!!

Research Park

We have a great park here on campus that I love but sometimes forget about. Jason and I had our engagement pictures taken there and we have taken family portraits there. This visit was just for fun though, just a fun Sunday afternoon together as a family. We fed the ducks, picked up sticks, watched the turtles in the water and had plenty of room to run.
