This picture was taken last summer when we went to The Bounce. Greyson loves The Bounce more and more the older he gets. The thing I love the most about our visits there is listening to him giggle...I love hearing my kids having fun!!

Legally Blonde

I had a really fun girls weekend this weekend! 10 of us headed to Houston Friday afternoon for a weekend getaway. Friday night was dinner at Grotto and dessert at The Chocolate Bar; Saturday morning sleeping in (bliss) and an early lunch at La Madeline and then off to see Legally Blonde the musical at the Hobby Center-so fun, and the reason for all the pink & animal print attire. It was so nice to be with wonderful friends, not be on any schedule, and just the chance to get away. Thanks to all our sweet husbands who stayed at home w/ the kiddos.

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day yesterday! I feel pretty lucky to have a husband who embraces the day and sees it as a special day to celebrate our life together (I know cheesy)! We took the kids to Chick Fil A for lunch and then Jason and I enjoyed a nice evening out together. Nothing fancy, dinner at one of our favorite places-Cenare', coffee and then to the movies to see 'He's Not That Into You' (wait for it on rental). I know I have said this many times before, but I love my husband dearly and am so blessed to be his wife. The Lord could not have picked someone better suited than he. He is my best friend, my encourager, best father to our children and the absolute LOVE of my life. Thanks for making life so fun honey and loving me for who I REALLY am-I LOVE YOU!! So, I didn't get a great Valentine's pic of the kids together, so here is one of Greyson showing off his card he got from Gran & Grandpa Jerry.

Catch-Up With Barb

On Sunday Sara, Elizabeth & I had the joy of spending the afternoon with our sweet friend Barb. Barb and her husband Dave (our Canadian friends) lived in CS up until 2 1/2 years ago, now they are in Ann Arbor, MI where Dave is working on his PhD. We enjoyed a kid-free lunch at Bodega catching up and reminiscing about time b/f kiddos. We sure do miss Barb, but so enjoyed the time we had with her during her visit to CS.

A Visit With Lauren

I'm a little late in posting this, but oh well!!

Last Saturday we got a visit from one of our graduated Aggies, Lauren. Lauren has moved back home to Dallas and is now teaching. We had not seen her since October, so everyone was very excited to see her. I made the mistake of telling Greyson that morning that we were going to see Lauren for dinner and he probably asked me 100 times that day if it was time to see her. We enjoyed catching up w/ her and hearing about life in the "real world". Thanks for the visit Lauren, we love you!

A Day With My Girl

On Thursdays Greyson goes to school and Davis and I spend the day together. I love these days that I have alone with her. I get to see other sides to her little personality that I don't get to take in other days of the week. She is almost a different child when it is just her. She is quiet, self entertaining, not defending (b/c her brother is not around), and just fun to be with. Yesterday we had a quiet day at home, Davis enjoyed playing and being able to do whatever she wanted, we baked some bread together and just enjoyed each others company! As you can see from the picture she loves to pose for the camera now-we're working on the cheesy smile :)
