A Day With My Girl

On Thursdays Greyson goes to school and Davis and I spend the day together. I love these days that I have alone with her. I get to see other sides to her little personality that I don't get to take in other days of the week. She is almost a different child when it is just her. She is quiet, self entertaining, not defending (b/c her brother is not around), and just fun to be with. Yesterday we had a quiet day at home, Davis enjoyed playing and being able to do whatever she wanted, we baked some bread together and just enjoyed each others company! As you can see from the picture she loves to pose for the camera now-we're working on the cheesy smile :)

A Weekend With the Baileys

Our friends Joseph, Crista & Luke Bailey came in from Abilene this weekend for a visit. To celebrate their visit the Moffitts, Stricklands, Baileys and us all gathered under one roof and enjoyed a weekend of organized chaos together!! 8 adults and 6 kiddos under one roof is a lot you might say, but we have done this so many times together that it works well and just being together is all that matters. These 3 couples are our bestest friends and have become like family to us. They love you for who you are and we can honestly be ourselves around each other. The kids play great together and so do the adults, most of the time ;) Friday night we enjoyed a kid-free night out and Saturday the guys got some time away together as did the girls. It was a relaxing and refreshing weekend being with some of our most favorite people in the world!

18 Months Old

Our sweet girl was 18 months old yesterday! She is such a sweetheart and adds so much fun to our family. Her vocabulary is growing everyday but "NO" remains as her favorite word. She loves to play dress-up in her tutus or princess costumes and is a sweet "little mommy" to all her dolls. She loves to play in her new kitchen w/ Greyson and they are very imaginative together in the things they "cook." She loves to be outside playing and especially enjoys swinging. She is always on the move and hardly ever stops to love on you, but when she does it is so sweet. Even though she fights w/ Greyson I love watching them play together and how much they enjoy being w/ each other. We love you sweet girl.

Christmas

I know I'm a little late posting about Christmas, but it's been a wirlwind! We stayed at home this year and all our family came to us. It was so nice to be in our own home and to host everyone else for a change. We spent Christmas Eve decorating cookies, getting ready for Santa, going to the Christmas Eve service and just enjoying the 4 of us. Christmas morning we woke up and opened presents together-Greyson loves his train table that Santa built him and Davis loves having some girl toys finally-a kitchen w/ all the accessories. A little later that morning my mom, step-dad, and grandmother came in and we enjoyed the whole day together. Davis got a handmade doll from Gran and she loves it, G got more Thomas the train stuff to add to his collection. 2 days later Jason's mom came in and we did Christmas together w/ her and my dad. Poppy got G a starter fishing pole set and Sito got Davis a doll set all w/ a stroller, pack n' play and swing. We had a wonderful time w/ all our family and feel blessed to have been w/ everyone.

Christmas in the Park

Last Saturday night we took the kids to "Christmas in the Park". One million lights are put up in one of our city parks and it is absolutely beautiful. The first few weekends in December they have extra activities going on, so we took the kids and enjoyed the fun. We visited Santa (Greyson loved him, Davis did not-she held on for dear life and would not sit in his lap), took a hayride through the park, had hot chocolate & cookies, and listened to the live entertainment. I think this is something we will try and do each year b/c they loved it!

Happy 9

Jason and I celebrated 9 years of marriage yesterday, I can't believe it! We had a great day celebrating and remembering all that we have experienced together over the past 9 years. I am blessed beyond words to share my life with an incredible man. I am proud of the man the Lord has grown him to be and how he continues to grow as an amazing husband, father, and friend. I love that we still laugh with each other and enjoy spending time together; he is my best friend! Thank you honey for 9 wonderful years, I can't wait to see what 9 more brings-I love you so much!

More Snow Fun

We got more snow yesterday afternoon! By The evening the ground was covered again. When Jason got home from work we took the kids outside to play in it. Greyson loved it and would have stayed forever, Davis wasn't too crazy about the wet and cold weather. We enjoyed a nice fire when we came inside, they both thought that was pretty neat. It was so fun to wake-up 2 mornings in a row w/ snow on the ground. We passed snowman after snowman in yards this morning when I drove Greyson to school, I didn't think I was in the right town. It will probably be another 10 years before it happends again, but it was sure fun while it lasted :)
