10k

Jason has been working very hard lately. Since Landyn was born in June, he has been training for the IBM Upton Classic 10k race. For you non-runners, that is about 6.2 miles. Early October Jason, Landyn and I headed to Austin for the weekend. We had the privilege of staying with our sweet Patsy's family. We enjoyed the weekend by doing some fun Austin shopping and eating and then Jason and Patsy did their race Sunday morning. Jason did such a great job and I'm so proud of him for all the hard work he put forth to accomplish this goal! Next up...Armadillo Dash here in March-Half Marathon!!

Halloween

Yes, it's November and I'm just now posting Halloween pics...oh, well! We had a really fun Halloween weekend with the kids. Friday night we headed to the Country Fair at church. Lots of fun games, hayrides, cake walk, good food & music, and of course too much candy. Sunday we headed to some friends house for a little party and then took all the kids trick or treating. Our smallest member of the family was such a trooper through all the festivities!

The sweetest little ballerina!

Welcome Landyn, First Wedding & Happy 4th

So, I know...it's been a month since I've posted anything and I said I would be better about that. Forgive me though, I am getting up in the middle of the night and just exhausted come 5:00, so again blogging has taken a back seat. We are doing well though and adjusting to being a famiy of 5. We feel blessed w/ Landyn as she is an easy baby and Greyson and Davis just adore her! Here is a little bit of what has been going on w/ us over the past month.

Last week some of my dear sweet friends had a meet & greet one evening for Landyn. It was so fun to see friends that I haven't seen in a while and to show my sweet girl off! Thanks Sara, EB & Heather for such a fun evening!

Last Thursday we packed up the car and headed to Frisco for the weekend. Greyson & Davis were in their first wedding. Our very first adopted Aggie Lauren, that we have know since before Greyson was born got married. Greyson was the ring bearer, Davis was the flower girl and I must say they looked pretty darn cute. They did a great job walking down the aisle, and for those of you wondering...yes, we bribed them to do so :) We felt very honored to be a part of Mark & Lauren's special day and are so excited for them!

We had a relaxing 4th of July. We spent the evening w/ our sweet Patsy (one of our Aggies). We went to dinner and then headed to watch the fireworks. Greyson and Davis loved them, Landyn slept thru them :)

And speaking of our sweet little Landyn, here she is sleeping during the fireworks. She is growing and changing every day and just as sweet as she can be. On Monday she will be 5 weeks-where does the time go?

Other April things & May

In April we enjoyed the Bluebonnet Festival in Chappell Hill. The kids had a great time riding the kiddie rides, getting their faces painted, and seeing the animals in the petting zoo.

The bluebonnets were beautiful this year. Here was our attempt at a picture of the kids together. As you can see a little less than cooperative, but memorable none the less.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day w/ my sweet family. It was a relaxing afternoon of just the 4 of us.

Greyson's class did a Mother's Day Tea for all the mother's. It was a sweet time of just Greyson and I getting to spend together. His teachers asked each of the kids some questions and read aloud each of their answers. Here was mine...
"My mother has blue eyes and brown hair. She is 2 years old. My mother is prettiest when she has pretty toes. My mother is funniest when she plays tea party with me. My mother likes to play cars with me. I like her to cook pankcakes, I don't like her to cook spicy food. She likes me to help her cook. We like to sing together."

This little missy is so excited to be a big sister! We are in the final countdown...3more days! We will finally get to meet our sweet little baby on Monday. I promise to post pictures sooner than later :)

Summer is here and we have been enjoying lots of time outside in the pool! The kids have done private swim lessons over the past 2 weeks and I am so impressed with the progeress they are making. Greyson has become very comfortable swimming on his own and is starting to perfect his arm stroking. Davis is becoming more comfortable each day and I know will catch up to her brother before long.
